Pathway Clubs

National Level coaching in Your Region

Wales has 4 Welsh Sailing / Hwylio Cymru Pathway Clubs.

  • North - Port Dinorwic Sailing Club
  • South - Llandegfedd Sailing Club
  • South - Cardiff Bay Yacht Club
  • West - Neyland Yacht Club

The aims of the Pathway Clubs are to deliver regular local training for Junior and Youth sailors in the Pathway with high-level instruction and coaching.

8-18 years

The Pathway Clubs are set up to support; learn to sail, learn to race, sailors racing regionally, sailors in the Welsh National Sailing Team and sailors looking to become coaches and instructors.

  • Regular club racing for children and adults
  • Regular training for Juniors & Youths
  • Qualified RYA Race Coach Level 2 coaches
  • A programme to develop new instructors and coaches
  • Dinghies available to hire
  • A commitment to hosting a Dragon Series event
  • A Performance Pathway with support from start sailing through to national level racing
